Procedure:

  • Dentist removes plaque and tartar buildup (above and below the gumline) using specialized tools.
  • Plaque is a sticky film that hardens into tartar if left uncleaned. Regular brushing can’t remove tartar.
  • Polishing smoothens teeth and removes stains.
