In dental tools, an articulator refers to a mechanical device or instrument used to simulate and replicate the movement of the lower and upper jaw in order to evaluate a patient’s bite and create an accurate dental restoration or prosthetic device. The articulator allows dentists and dental technicians to study and analyze the relationship between the upper and lower dental arches, assess occlusion, and ensure proper alignment when fabricating dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.
