Supragingival is a widely used term in Dental Miscellaneous Terms.
Supragingival is a term used in dentistry to describe an area above the gum line. It refers to the portion of a tooth or dental restoration that is exposed and visible in the oral cavity, extending from the gum line upwards.
This term is often used to describe dental plaque or calculus which is located on the surface of the tooth, above the gums. Supragingival plaque and calculus can be easily removed during regular dental cleanings and oral hygiene practices.
